IIT-Delhi collaborates with DSCI, will provide courses on cyber security and privacy
The Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi (IIIT-D) is going to collaborate with the Data Security Council of India (DSCI) and conduct joint programmes that are going to centered on cyber security and privacy. It signed a MOA with DSCI to close the deal. DSCI is going to hold different kinds of educational events, like, hackathons, niche skill-building training programmes, collaboration projects, market research and organize workshops based on cyber-security and privacy. The director of IIT-Delhi, Professor Ranjan Bose, spoke about the decision to collaborate with, DSCI, “Cutting-edge research and innovation is of utmost importance in this ever-expanding domain of cybersecurity, where the adversaries continue to get more sophisticated, multifaceted, with access to newer techniques and tools. In parallel, the attack-surface is also growing exponentially. As we move forward, artificial intelligence (AI) will also be necessary to identify many of these threats, thwart attacks, effectively respond to cybercrime and perhaps predict some of the attacks. The faculty members at IIIT-D, together with Data Security Council of India (DSCI), will be addressing some of these important challenges that will hopefully shape the future of cyber-security.” Vinayak Godse, Vice President, Data Security Council of India, added his own view point and said, “DSCI will promote expertise among professionals at the regional and national level, along with providing them opportunities to participate in strategic cyber-security initiatives.” The aim is to boost research, and innovation concerning cyber security, along with putting efforts to realize national goals and strategies. Cyber security technology development and increase in entrepreneurship are also the projected goals that the association is going to try and fulfill. Cyber security and Privacy of data and identity has become a major concern as the threats of cyber theft has increased around the world. It’s necessary build precautions and safeguards that’ll keep the threats away, and it can only be achieved if extensive research brings out unique ways to keep our information intact.
